Seminole County CTAE German Exchange Program in the Spotlight
We are excited to share that Seminole County’s CTAE German Exchange Program was featured in the state CTAE quarterly newsletter! This is a big honor and shows the great work our students and teachers are doing to build connections that reach far beyond our classrooms.

Through this exchange, our students get the chance to learn alongside friends from Bavaria, exploring agriculture, careers, and culture in a hands-on way. It’s an experience that not only teaches new skills but also creates lasting friendships and memories.

We are proud to see our program highlighted at the state level and can’t wait to see how it continues to grow for our students in the future!

Progress Reports and GMAS Family Reports will be sent home with all Middle High School students on Thursday, September 4.

Progress Reports provide an update on how your child is performing in each of their classes at this point in the grading period.

GMAS Family Reports summarize your child’s performance on the Georgia Milestones Assessment, showing their strengths and areas for growth.

Please take time to review these reports with your student. They are valuable tools to help support learning and success throughout the year!

2025 Homecoming Representatives

Each year, our students take part in selecting Homecoming representatives. Every grade level votes, and the top two students from each class are chosen to represent their peers. These representatives are recognized during the Homecoming football game. From the senior class, three representatives are selected, and one of them will be crowned Homecoming Queen during the game. Congratulations to all!

Mariah Coachman's artwork was selected for the weekly art contest on Artsonia.com and needs votes to win!

We use Artsonia in art class as a virtual portfolio for students to keep all of their art throughout the years in one place. If Mariah wins, she gets $50 and the Visual Art program gets $100 for art supplies that go right back to the students.

Please use the link below to vote! You may vote once a day and voting ends Saturday, September 6th. Go Mariah!

REMINDER: Georgia law now requires each school district to prepare and practice intruder drills yearly in the event of an incident. Seminole County Schools will conduct these drills at both schools on September 3, 2025 in conjunction with the Seminole County Sheriff’s Department. The safety and welfare of our students, teachers, and staff are high priorities in the Seminole County School District. If you have questions about the intruder drills, please contact the district safety coordinator, Dr. Marie Godwin.

Thank you to those who have submitted their students' Georgia immunization records. For those who have not yet submitted your child’s shot records, you are now PAST the deadline date. Your child is in danger of being placed on the withdrawal list per GA State Law. Please immediately contact your child’s doctor’s office or local health department to obtain a copy of their records. If your child receives their immunizations in another state, you will need to take your current record to the local health department and have it updated to a Georgia record. Please contact our school nurse, Tina Calhoun, with any questions.

Attention all 7th and 11th grade parents –Reminder: GA LAW REQUIRES all students entering the 7th grade to receive 1 dose of Tdap and 1 dose of the MCV4 vaccine. 11th graders who are 16 years of age or older are required to receive a booster dose of the MCV4. The only exception to not receiving these vaccinations under law is a medical exemption from your child's physician, which is good for 1 year, or a religious exemption, which never expires. These must be documented on the proper forms. Failure to comply with this law puts your child in danger of being WITHDRAWN from school until they are compliant! Deadline to submit records/forms is September 1, 2025. If you have any questions, please get in touch with our school nurse, Tina Calhoun.
