On November 18, Mrs. Bush’s Honors 10th grade literature class participated in a wax museum. The students read a book, The House on Mango Street, and discussed different themes in class. In partners, they came up with a theme for the book and had to represent that theme in “wax” form. The students had to come up with a one minute speech that explained their theme through the book and life. They got in a pose according to their theme and held it while Mrs. Bush went around and videoed. The second time Mrs. Bush went around, the students read their speech while in the “wax” pose. It was a great learning experience and super fun to do!
