Media Center Spotlight
Reading is an important part of everyday life, and one’s reading ability determines one’s overall knowledge as well as performance in all academic subjects. Our high school library is a great resource for students who wish to improve reading skills, read for pleasure, or read for class assignments. Our Media Center Specialist, Mrs. Kelly Earnest, is always ready to help students to reach their reading goals. Mrs. Earnest enjoys meeting students from both the middle and high school and tries to ensure that the library has something of interest to everyone.
Mrs. Earnest graduated from Seminole County and attended the University of Georgia. To continue this tradition, her daughter Emily, decided to attend UGA, too, and is currently a freshman there this semester. Mrs. Earnest’s hobbies include photography, animals, and traveling. In fact, Mrs. Earnest has traveled to five continents! Her love for social studies fueled her desire to travel. Her first job was teaching sixth grade Social Studies in Seminole County, but she decided to become a Media Center Specialist because she loves to read and interact with each and every person here. This is her twenty-ninth year in education and we wish her many more! Thank you, Mrs. Earnest, for all you do for our school.
